   The polished sateen makes the black. I have a sleeveless black linen straight shirtdress but this shirtwaist is a whole other look. The sweeping, swingy skirt is fuller than A line. Dress it up with a contrasting stretch straw belt in gold or natural.

   While I love the color, I was not expecting a drop waist style where the pleats started a bit lower. As a girl with hips, drop waist styles are not as flattering, so I wish the pleating started at the natural waist.
